4 Easy Cheese Balls

Here are four easy and delicious cheese ball recipes that are perfect for parties, gatherings, or a fun snack. These cheese balls are easy to make, flavorful, and can be customized to your taste!


1. Classic Cheddar Cheese Ball

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and green onions (if using). Mix until smooth and well-combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
  3. Once chilled, roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans or walnuts to coat evenly.
  4. Serve with crackers, chips, or fresh veggies.

2. Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing mix (dry)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, ranch seasoning, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  4. Once set, roll the cheese ball in chopped parsley for coating.
  5. Serve with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

3. Herbed Goat Cheese Ball

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz goat cheese (softened)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup crushed toasted almonds or pecans (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the goat cheese, cream cheese, mozzarella, thyme, rosemary, parsley, garlic powder, and lemon zest. Stir until smooth and fully incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to firm up.
  3. After chilling, roll the cheese ball in crushed toasted almonds or pecans.
  4. Serve with crackers, baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.

4. Spicy Jalapeño Cheese Ball

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 tbsp pickled jalapeño juice
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, Monterey Jack, cheddar, chopped jalapeños, pickled jalapeño juice, cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder.
  2. Mix until smooth and all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Form the mixture into a ball and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours.
  4. After chilling, roll the cheese ball in crushed tortilla chips.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.
