A Cheesy Chicken-Stuffed Puff Pastry Bake is a delicious and comforting dish that’s perfect for a quick dinner or a savory lunch. The combination of tender chicken, gooey cheese, and flaky puff pastry is irresistible. Here’s a simple recipe to make it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup cooked spinach (drained and chopped, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought, thawed if frozen)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Fresh herbs like parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Filling:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, mozzarella, cream cheese, Parmesan, sour cream (if using), cooked spinach (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir the ingredients together until well combined. The mixture should be creamy and cheesy.

2. Prepare the Puff Pastry:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. If it’s too sticky, you can dust it with a little flour.
  • Cut the puff pastry into squares or rectangles, depending on how large you want each portion.

3. Assemble the Bake:

  • Place a spoonful of the chicken and cheese mixture onto the center of each puff pastry square.
  • Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pocket or turnover, or you can create a sealed rectangle, depending on your preference.
  • Press the edges together to seal the pastry, ensuring there are no gaps for the filling to escape.

4. Add the Egg Wash:

  • Brush the top of each pastry with the beaten egg. This will help the puff pastry turn golden and shiny as it bakes.

5. Bake:

  • Place the stuffed puff pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.

6. Serve:

  • Allow the pastries to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives if desired.
