Here’s a delicious recipe for Chocolate Cobbler that’s easy to make and wonderfully indulgent!

Chocolate Cobbler

Ingredients:

For the Batter:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups hot water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
    • Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  3. Pour the Batter:
    • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Make the Topping:
    • In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cocoa powder together. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the baking dish.
  5. Add Hot Water:
    • Carefully pour the hot water over the entire dish. Do not stir—this will create a sauce underneath the cobbler as it bakes.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are fine).
  7. Serve:
    • Let it cool slightly before serving. This dish is best served warm, and it pairs wonderfully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
