Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Crispy Chicken Wings that you can make at home!

Crispy Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings get crispy all around.
  2. Prepare the Wings:
    • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. The drier they are, the crispier they’ll get.
  3. Season the Wings:
    • In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Add the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
  4. Arrange on the Rack:
    • Place the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Make sure they are not touching to allow for even cooking.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy.
  6. Optional Final Crisp:
    • If you want extra crispiness, you can broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end. Just watch them closely to avoid burning!
  7. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like buffalo sauce, ranch, or blue cheese dressing.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the wings in your favorite sauce (like buffalo or teriyaki) for a few hours before baking.
  • Feel free to experiment with different spices to customize the flavor!
