Here’s a delicious recipe for Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole, a creamy, cheesy pasta dish that’s sure to be a hit!

Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients:

  • For the Casserole:
    • 12 oz spaghetti
    • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
    • 1 small onion, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
    • 1 cup cottage cheese
    • 1 cup ricotta cheese
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For Topping:
    • Extra mozzarella cheese (optional)
    • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook Spaghetti: In a large pot, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the Meat: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef (or sausage) over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, meat mixture, marinara sauce, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, sour cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Layer the Casserole:
    • In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread half of the spaghetti mixture.
    • Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
    • Add the remaining spaghetti mixture and top with the remaining cheeses.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
