Simple Creamy Dessert

Here’s a simple recipe for a creamy dessert that’s quick to prepare and delicious:

No-Bake Creamy Vanilla Pudding Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
  2. Heat and Thicken: Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture constantly as it heats up. Once it starts to bubble and thicken, reduce the heat to low and continue stirring for 1-2 minutes until it reaches a pudding-like consistency.
  3. Add Vanilla and Butter: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter (if using). The butter will make the pudding extra creamy.
  4. Cool: Pour the pudding into individual serving bowls or a large dish. Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap (press it directly onto the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming). Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to fully chill.
  5. Serve: Once chilled, top with whipped cream before serving.
